South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) 2017 Day 1 for Telugu & Kannada Film Industries at Abu Dhabi, Dubai.

South Indian International Movie Awards, also known as the SIIMA Awards, rewards the artistic and technical achievements of the South Indian film industry.

As Indian cinema is making a strong impact globally, it’s time for South Indian Cinema to claim its space in the realm of world cinema. It’s time the Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam industries took the centre stage worldwide and welcome an entertaining endeavour of its sorts- SIIMA.

SIIMA promises to be an event that film lovers across the world would sit up and watch with bated breath. After creating a stir in the entertainment industry, with the previous four years in Dubai, Sharjah and Malaysia and back to the enticing city of Dubai for its 4th year. SIIMA 2016 travels to Singapore on the 30th June and 1st of July for an Entertaining and Glamorous Extravaganza of its sorts

Getting together stars from four industries with scintillating performances and mesmerizing acts, see who takes home the award, while creating yet another milestone with SIIMA.

While the first day of the show was dedicated to the Telugu and Kannada film industries, the second day will honour talents from the Malayalam and Tamil film industry. With stars like Shivaraj Kumar, SP Balasubrahmanyam, Suhasini Mani Ratnam, Khushbu Sundar,Ambika, Saritha, Lakshmi Manchu, Mohan Babu, Rana Daggubati, Shriya Saran, Radhika Chetan, Regina Cassandra, Allu Sirish, Shraddha Srinath, Pranitha Subhash, Rakul Preet Singh and Nikki Galrani in attendance, the event is indeed a star-studded affair. Allu Sirish and veteran actor Srikanth's son Roshan were the hosts for the evening. Before the awards were about to be given away, the stars paid a tribute to the ace filmmaker, the late Dasari Narayana Rao, who passed away recently. Veteran actor Murali Mohan won the award for Lifetime Achievement and he received the award from none other than legendary singer SP Balasubrahmanyam. While Kirik Party bagged the Best Movie Award in Kannada, Shivrajkumar won the Best Actor Award for Shivalinga and Shraddha Srinath won the Best Actress Award for U-Turn. In Telugu, Junior NTR bagged the Best Actor Award and Rakul Preet Singh won the Best Actress Award for Nannaku Prematho.



Usha Uthup, Shubhra Aiyappa, Hansika Motwani, Shriya Saran, Pooja Hegde, Nikki Galrani, Regina Cassandra, Rashmika Mandanna, Anu Sithara, Anushree, Manvitha Harish and Manjima Mohan will be enthralling the audience with their performances.
