National Award Winning Joker Movie Team Press Meet was held on 07th Apl 2017 at Prasad Film Lab, Arunachalam Road, Shanthi Nagar, Vadapalani, Chennai.

The last year released blockbuster movie ‘Joker’ that is a social satire that received unanimous critical applause which has created more credit for the Tamil cinema by way of receiving the two National awards.

The film has bagged two National awards, one for the Best Tamil Film and other for the Best Male Playback singer Sundar Ayyar for the song ‘Jasmine-u’.

Once after the declaration of the awards, the producer of the film S.R.Prahu and the director Raju Murugan with the music composer Sean Roldan met the press and media. Even the lead actor of the film Guru Somasundaram joined in this press meet.

Raju Murugan said, “I desired to create a worthy film. The movies that are getting released in theatres needed the support of numerous people is itself a triumph. ‘Joker’ has set heartened people to voice out their feelings self-reliant. I am glad about that. The film hero Guru Somasundaram is an excellent actor who is on par with the Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui.”

Once after his speech, the producer of the film added that he is very much happy that the film Joker has grabbed the National award. However, the filmmakers expected an award for the talent lead hero of this film Guru Somasundaram. He said I would have been much contented he was also awarded.”

The young producer also revealed that he planned to remake the film in other languages too.

Guru Somasundaram said in media and also shared the below in social medias websites “Script, music, performances, production and every other thing was good in this film.I am happy that I played a part of this film.”

Adding also this music director Sean Roldan said that the “Jasmine” song was sung within 20 minutes by Sundara Ayyar. He also added that he created the music of the song with new innovation and added more emotions as improvisation.

So we can expect this award winning film soon on other languages. We wish the team for its success and more awards for the coming years.
